This week, January 21-28, The Grolier Club–founded in 1884, the nation’s oldest existing bibliographic club–will be hosting a series of events in which bibliophiles from many national organizations dedicated to the history of the book will come together to attend lectures, annual meetings, and networking functions. Such organizations will include the The Center for Book Arts, the French Institute/Alliance Francaise, the Antiquarian Booksellers’ Association of America, Booklyn, the Bibliographical Society of America, and the American Printing History Association.
Last year I attended the student papers series presented by new scholars of the Bibliographical Society of America, which proved to be very intellectually stimulating presentations on unique topics in the world of bibliography. This year, I intend to do the same.
More information on the scheduling of these events can be found here.
